Walking down Main Street this afternoon there was so much activity. Store owners were finishing up their Holiday window displays, shoppers were peering into the jewelry cases as Bergman’s, downtown workers chatting in small groups as they run into each other, owners playing with their puppies in the park and of course some of our more flamboyant regulars who always wish you a happy day.
Working on this new blog has provided an opportunity to meet many of the people who are giving absolutely every part of themselves to make our downtown the thriving community we saw in the movie. Not just some facade, but a reflection of us in all our dimensions.
The final pieces are being tweaked in the store windows for tomorrow’s big downtown night at Gallery Walk. Here are just a few of the reflections on Main Street encountered today:
Johni Nowiki was working hard and laughing while finishing her new Main Street children’s store

Get Lost in Another Time
A gorgeous new addition to Main St., Second Time Around has a window display that really makes you want to forget your next appointment and just get lost in there.

Soiree Always Sets a Beautiful Table
Soiree hung on during the Main St. construction by adding a new store in Ripon’s downtown, but ours is still far superior
There are dozens and dozens of more pictures to post and they will be posted over the next few weeks, but here are some of the top shots.

Very Elegant, Makes you want to buy jewelry

Reminds me of "A Christmas Story"

Where the Sugar Plum Faeries Get their Toe Shoes

Let there be snow

Is it me or is that one very scared nutcracker?

Way Cool on Christmas

A lot of levity on Main St

Paper Tiger, another new Main St. addition, helps with our reflection
So the question is, Is Main St. Oshkosh a reflection of us or are we a reflection of Main St. ?
