Imagine if New Year’s Day was on a Tuesday, right now we would all be back at work. Does that make today a little better? Sunday, January 2nd is that extra day we all need to mentally and physically prepare for not having a single day off (unless you are a public employee) until Easter.

This gorgeous spot on S. Main perfectly captures what is great about living in Oshkosh. We get a little glamour, great food and the knowledge that almost every where we go everyone knows our name.

The lunch counter. In typing that I am transported back to the lunch counter where I grew up. Kids were always clamoring to sit at the counter, mostly so we could swirl around on the stools.
